How to scare your friends

Step 1. Open up notepad
Step 2. Type

lol=msgbox("Whatever you want message to say",20,"Whatever you want the window to be titled")

Ex:
lol=msgbox("Warning your computer has been infected by a virus ",20,"Virus Alert")

Step 3. Save the text as Whateveryouwant.vbs

Shut Down your PC in one click...

This is really very easy one but very effective one. Enjoy it!

First, create a shortcut on your desktop by right-clicking on the desktop, choosing New, and then choosing Shortcut. The Create Shortcut Wizard appears. 

In the box asking for the location of the shortcut, type shutdown. 
After you create the shortcut, double-clicking on it will shut down your PC.

Increase the speed of your start menu

If you want to increase the speed of your start menu than do the following thing: 


Go to start menu - 
run - 
and type regedit - 
registry editor will get displayed than -
click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER -
a large list will get displayed - go to control panel -
again a large list will get displayed - click on desktop only once - 
other side of it will display u large number of list - than try to search file name MenuShowDelay - 
click on it - 
value data will be 400 make it 0 - 
close all the programmes and restart your comp.

Text becomes unreadable


  1. Open Notepad
  2. On the very first line, type in "dont eat the donut" (without quotes) then save and close the file. Note: the file should have only one line of the text above.
  3. Now, open the same file. You'll notice the text becomes unreadable squares. (try this with different text with the same format and length).

Create a log


  1. Open Notepad
  2. On the very first line, type in ".LOG" (without quotes) then press Enter for a new line
  3. Now you can type in some text if you want, then save the file.
  4. Next time when you open the file, notice its contents. Notepad automatically adds a time/date log everytime you open the file.

Keyboard Tricks

1 : High Contrast

If you want to enlarge the font of all the opened windows in your computer and change colors to high contrast, then you can use this keyboard trick. To use it, you have to press Shift, Alt and PrntScrn button together in your keyboard, [Shift]+[Alt]+[PrntScrn].Press OK then.

 2 : Rotate Screen

If you want to rotate the screen or desktop of your computer, you can use this keyboard trick. (Note: This trick varies machine to machine depending on graphics card and video driver). To rotate the screen, press [ctrl]+[Alt]+[up/down/left/right].



3 : Bypass Recycle Bin

If you want to delete any file from your computer without sending it to the recycle bin, press [Shift]+[Delete], after selecting the file. A window will open, click on ‘Yes’ button or press ‘Enter’.

4 : Show Desktop or Restore Open Window

It helps you to minimize all open windows and show your desktop. To do this, you have to press [Windows]+[D].

5 : Mass Control Open Windows

It will help you to select different program or windows. To do this u have to press [Ctrl] + select items from the taskbar, right click on the selected item.

6 : Switch Between Running Programs

When you want to jump to the next application within an open window, you can use this. To use this press [Tab] button on the keyboard and when you will reach your desired place simply release the button. You can switch between running program by pressing [Alt]+[Tab].


7 : Lock System You can lock and protect your computer easily by this keyboard trick, and when you restart your computer, all the applications will still be running and the windows will still be left as previous. To do this press [Windows]+[L].

8 : Undo and Redo

If you want to undo your changes press [Ctrl]+[z] and if you need to redo your changes press [Ctrl]+[y]. These shortcut keys are very useful feature of the keyboard.

9 : Run Command Prompt as Administrator

To run command prompt as administrator, press [Windows]+[R], then type your desired command, then press [Ctrl]+[Shift] and press ‘Enter’.

10. To minimize Only one active current program or window :

Press Alt+Space+N

11.To rename any Shortcut/Program/File or anything :

Press F2


12.Don't just maximize your windows—go full screen

When you need a really big window for viewing photos and videos, don't just maximize it: go full screen!
Open any photo in Windows Explorer, or open a photo or video clip in Windows Media Player.
  • In Windows 7 and Windows XP, click the F11 key at the top of your keyboard.

Any Folder as a Photo Folder->

                This tricks shows you how to setup any folder to display its contents as a photo folder. In many cases, you save your images/photos in a folder different than "My Pictures" (under "My Documents"). Since this folder you choose is just like any other normal folders, its contents displayed as a listing of files. You can temporary change it by just right-click and select "View" >> "Thumbnails". But if you want to change the folder so that everytime you come back, the folder itself, as well as all its subfolders, display the contents as photo thumbnails.


  1. Right-click on the folder you choose and select "Properties.
  2.  Select "Customize" Tab. Then under "Use this folder type as a template", select "Pictures (best for many files)"
  3. Check on "Also apply this template to all subfolders" to apply the setting to subfoders as well
  4. CLick on Cloose Picture,  select the picture.
  5. Click OK to exit
